Hi!
My names Justin or 용진! I’ve been working at Nielsen since the Fall of 2018 as a Marketing Graphic Designer and Sr. Design Specialist. I am from and reside in Upstate, NY. In 2018, I graduated with a BS in Graphic Design Technology with a concentration in print/web from the State University of New York at Cobleskill. I was hired by Gracenote as a Marketing Graphic Designer, but was soon brought into the Nielsen creative day-to-day. My experience includes working with teams around the globe to create cohesive brand awareness, through visual and traditional graphic design, along with motion design, photography, color grading, and knowledge in DaVinci Resolve.
As of recently, photography has been my biggest creative boost. I have used this as an outlet to study composition, color theory, and story telling through emotion. I often take trips to NYC as a way to get inspired. I am drawn to the Neo-Noir style, but also love bright colorful sunrises or sunsets. I enjoy the fine details of life. As I usually shoot digitally, I picked up a Canon AE-1 and Olympus XA film camera and have started shooting more film. It slows down the process and makes you visually see your composition; which has inspired me from a design perspective.
In my free time aside from being a designer and photographer, I love music and attending festivals, and playing golf. Most weekends in the warm months, I will probably have a club and camera in my hand. I find the more hobbies that inspire you to be better, are the most rewarding.
